Floss the Stress Beating Skills
January 14th, 2008So, stress can be the greatest ally of you and at the same time your biggest foe. At its best, your stress is able to push you forward for performing at your best; and at its worst, stress can cripple or prevent you from achieving your full potential. Luckily, there are methods to deal with stress and keep you from reaching the plans for your success. Identical to flossing, dealing efficiently with stress requires practice and patience.
Probably the simplest method to reduce the negative stress is learning how to say no. As a rule we compare doing a lot to being successful, however, in fact, overspending your time and power can leave you exhausted and ineffective.
Care for your body and then your body will care for you. Eat only healthy, nutritious foods which will fill you with the natural energy, with stamina necessary to cope with stress. Besides, find an exercise which you can on a regular basis enjoy so as to be stress-busting.
One more useful advice is to avoid striving to be perfect. So never mentally attack yourself if things don’t appear to be the way you wanted - acknowledge that everybody makes mistakes and go on. Give way to shame and guilt over a unsatisfactory situation can prevent you from achieving future progress.
Be true to life with your expectations, never set up yourself for any frustration and discontents when they don’t take place. It’s wonderful to shoot for movie stars, but bear in mind to keep your both feet on the ground.
Last but not least, create a plan for the future. There is not anything more stressful than disturbing about whether you will get a wonderful job or be doing well or not.
